Carers support
Carers Support help carers from communities across West Sussex. They provide practical information and emotional support.
Many carers do not see themselves as carers. This is because they see themselves as a parent, spouse, partner, son, daughter, relative, friend or neighbour. 1 in 10 of the population are carers. Carers often miss out on services, support, advice and benefits which may be available.
Home-Start
Home-Start supports parents. It helps them give their children the best start in life. Their positive impact makes a real difference to the lives of children and families in communities across the UK. They offer emotional and practical help to families who have at least one child under the age of five.
Young Minds
A charity aiming to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
They offer a free confidential telephone helpline. This is for anyone worried about the emotional problems, behaviour or mental health of a child or young person.
Mental Health Foundation
Are working for an end to mental ill health and the inequalities. They support people with mental distress. They also help those with learning disabilities or reduced mental capacity. It is an online resource. It offers an A-Z directory of services for people with mental health problems.

Mind empowers people to understand their mental health and the choices available to them. Mind offers training, information and advocacy services.
National Self Harm Network
A national charity supporting sufferers. Raises awareness of self-harm. Covers its causes, triggers, and how to offer support.
OCD Action
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can make you feel trapped and cut off from the rest of the world. OCD Action support is available to anyone affected by OCD. Finding the right support and building a network can make a huge difference.
