NHS Right to Choose Framework
Information about Right to Choose Framework referrals for autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments.
Patients in England often have a legal right to choose the service or hospital they use. This is known as 'Right to Choose'. It is part of the NHS Choice Framework.
A GP may refer a patient for an autism or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessment through Right to Choose. Patients, or their parent or carer, can usually choose which provider does the assessment from a list. They may choose based on location or how long they will have to wait.
