Supporting siblings
How you can support siblings after a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) diagnosis.
As well as supporting your child with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) it is also very important to make sure that your other children are supported.
You can help them understand what the diagnosis means and help them as they adjust to the changes.
Reaching Families produce factsheets written for parent carers by parent carers. Find their helpful 'Supporting Siblings factsheet' on the Reaching Families website.
They would welcome feedback from parents and professionals on their fact sheets. If you have any comments or recommendations for additional content, email their project manager Brian O’Hagan at info@reachingfamilies.org.uk.
