Early Help

Find out what Early Help services include.

Early Help (EH) is a range of coordinated services for children and families from 0 to 25 years old. Within the EH service there is a ‘whole family’ approach to support, with the aim that we give all children the best start in life and make it easier for families to get the help they need.

What we do

There are six Hubs across the county, providing coordinated support by professionals across a range of services.

Universal services can be accessed by all, including:

  • Children and Family Centres
  • Toy Libraries, including Sensory Toy Libraries
  • Work with the Health Visiting Team
  • Find It Out shops for young people.

Our Family Information Service is also able to provide information about childcare, Early Years Free Entitlement, and family support services and activities.

Our targeted services include:

  • Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Hubs
  • Free Entitlement funding for eligible 2 year olds
  • Support for care leavers and young carers.

Further targeted services include Family Support, including working with young people and people affected by domestic and sexual abuse, and support to help people back into employment.
