We limit members to 25, to ensure we have enough time at meetings to listen to members’ latest work (1500 words max) and provide constructive feedback. Our current cohort includes: novelists, poets, playwrights and short story writers/generalists.
Meetings are monthly and about 10 members read out. A theme is set every month for inspiration but can be ignored if the muse points elsewhere. Work must be emailed beforehand to the rest of the group. This allows us to offer more considered feedback by email or at the meeting. We love a script and delight in ‘doing the parts in different voices’ to misquote Dickens.
Current annual subs is £24.00 and we invite people to try before they buy to make sure they like us and we like them.
