Connect to Work

What is Connect to Work?
West Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council run the Connect to Work programme locally, with support from the Department for Work and Pensions.
We know that having a job can greatly improve someone’s life and also benefit the wider community.
That’s why we’re inviting employers to partner with us in this inspiring programme. Together, we can make a real difference to local residents and workplaces.
About Connect to Work
Connect to Work helps people with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or other challenges find and keep paid jobs. This national programme is expanding across England and Wales and aims to support up to 100,000 people.
Locally, we aim to help up to 900 residents each year who are ready and motivated to work. We match them with jobs that fit their skills and experience.
Joining the programme is voluntary and completely free. The government funds it, and eligible participants get up to 12 months of personalised support to help them find a job and settle into the workplace. This support can make a real difference in their lives and in the wider community.
