• Bridges, subways, walls and fences
  This section gives all the information needed on bridges and subways, walls and fences. Find out details on who owns the bridges and how they are maintained and strengthened.

• Dangerous structures and public safety
  The district or borough council Building Control department has a responsibility to deal with dangerous buildings, structures and walls as they occur.

• Enforcement
  From time to time, we are required to deal with businesses or individuals who, for whatever reason, breach the statutory protection relating to highways.

• Pavements
  We aim to make sure that all pavements are properly maintained and safe to use for everyone, including those with mobility impairments such as poor eyesight or physical disabilities, and for those with wheelchairs or pushchairs.

• Road maintenance
