You will need to book a registrar to perform any of the following ceremonies:

If you are marrying of forming a civil partnership, you will also need to book a notice appointment. Notice may be given up to a year in advance of your ceremony; we advise at least 4-6 months in advance.

What you need to do

To book a registrar for your ceremony you must complete the form below. This includes all marriages, civil partnerships and non-statutory ceremonies such as renewal of vows, and requests to convert a marriage to a civil partnership.

You must have chosen and provisionally booked your external venue before completing our booking form. If you wish to book a council room, we will book the venue and registrars together.

Find out about ceremony venues in our Venue finder section.
