Open data
Our policy is to make our data freely available for anybody to use except where there are concerns about individual privacy, ownership or agreed FOI exemptions. We want to encourage re-use of data in new applications and alternative analysis.
Our data store includes data about West Sussex, the Council and its services. This is where data owners from within the County Council have released their data and made it available for anyone to use.
Here we share our action plan to make our data available and give you the opportunity to influence our priorities. If there is something you would like to see made available then please get in touch with us.
The are numerous other sources of data relating to West Sussex. Here we have linked to other websites where this information is being made available.
We want to make our data openly available for the benefit of everyone, so that others can re-use it, present it in new ways, mix it with other data and use it for new purposes.
You can use any data listed in the data store provided that you agree to the terms and conditions of the Open Government Licence. In our showcase we highlight some of the innovative uses people and organisations are making of this data.
