Data Protection Act 1998
In order to register and receive or use many of the services on
our website, you will be required to submit some personal

All events are listed at the sole discretion of West Sussex
County Council. We reserve the right to reject or withdraw the
listing of any event without explanation.
West Sussex County Council endeavours to provide up-to-date and
accurate information, but we will not accept liability for the
accuracy or currency of the information provided by third parties
or for the content on any linked or related web sites.
Listings of promotional events on our website should not be
taken as an endorsement of that event of any kind by West Sussex
County Council.
We will not accept liability for any consequences arising from

Social media
West Sussex County Council maintains a number of social media
sites. These sites are managed by our Services in order to provide
a regular stream of information, news and service updates. We may
also use these channels to engage and consult with residents.
Unless otherwise stated, our social media sites are managed Monday
to Friday during office hours.
We welcome your comments, suggestions and questions raised
through our social media sites. However, we do request that you do
not use these channels to post abusive, offensive or inappropriate
comments. We reserve the right to remove any comment without prior
notification.
As the content of posts should be accessible to as a many people
as possible, and because the council is unable to effectively
moderate content in language other than English, posts in other
languages should be avoided. The council reserves the right to
remove posts that contain content in languages other than English
if, in the view of the Council, the content could be considered
abusive, offensive or inappropriate.
We encourage anyone coming across offensive comments to report
them to us. An email address is made available on each social media
site so that you can contact the administrator direct with any
questions or concerns you may have. You may also email osd.office@westsussex.gov.uk.
West Sussex County Council cannot be held responsible for any
content which has been posted by a member of the public and we do
not endorse these comments or the authors who create them.
We also reserve the right to remove overtly political material,
particularly in the run up to an election, in order to fulfil our
responsibility to comply with the code of recommended practice on
local authority publicity.
