Business and commercial waste

Despite there being no statutory requirement for the County Council to dispose of commercial waste, a service has been established. This is to provide a disposal facility for businesses seeking to dispose of their waste and recycling using small vehicles, which are not generally suitable for access to tipping areas on landfill sites.

Currently three County Council facilities are licensed to accept commercial waste and recycling from businesses.

Business and commercial waste cannot be taken to a household waste recycling site and businesses trying to use these facilities will be turned away.
