Protecting children

We have a legal responsibility to look after the welfare and protection of vulnerable children. This means that we will be involved in situations where they could be at risk of harm or abuse.

This section explains what to do if you are worried that a child is being abused, or are a professional working to help safeguard children.

  This multi-agency committee is responsible for establishing policies and procedures for responding to allegations of child abuse and neglect. This section contains useful resources and protocols for professionals, as well as information for parents and carers.
