Report a problem
All reports about problems are treated as
confidential.
If you suspect: (a) that planning conditions have been breached
at a minerals or waste site or on County Council land; or (b) that
unauthorised minerals or waste development is taking or has taken
place, please contact us.
You can report a problem by:
Please provide as much information as possible:
- the site address or location
- details about the alleged breach of planning control - any
photographs or a log/record of activity will assist greatly (and
can be submitted using the online form, by email, or by post)
- when the breach started or took place
- the names and contact details of the operator or landowner (if
possible)
- your name and address, including a contact telephone
number.
Unless reported anonymously, we will investigate all possible
breaches of planning control and report back about the action we
propose to take.
Although we recognise that members of the public, who report
incidents, want the problem to be dealt with quickly, we can only
act within the powers available to us. For example, where
incidents are not causing environmental harm or, if unauthorised,
the development would likely be granted retrospective planning
permission, the law states it may be unreasonable for us to take
formal enforcement action.
If we decide to take no formal enforcement action following our
investigation, an explanation will be given.
