Your Energy Sussex

Your Energy Sussex logoWe are a partnership of 15 Sussex local authorities working together to improve energy efficiency in homes and
non-domestic buildings.

Your Energy Sussex, formerly the Sussex Energy Saving Partnership, is making maximum use of Government schemes such as Green Deal, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and other funding sources to install energy saving measures in up to 680,000 households over the next 25 years and help businesses to become more energy efficient.

Our aim is to:

  • help all residents to create warmer, healthier homes and reduce carbon emissions;
  • help boost the local economy by creating work for local businesses;
  • create opportunities for the local workforce, including work placements, apprenticeships and skills development; and
  • help vulnerable residents and those at risk of struggling to pay their fuel bills.

We chose Carillion as our delivery partner in autumn 2013 and a number of projects are underway. Check our latest news section for more information on these projects.

In early 2015 we will launch a service to residents offering high quality, value for money and accredited energy saving advice and improvements. We will help residents to decide which improvements are right for them and guide them through the payment options.

You can pre-register for the Your Energy Sussex resident offer by completing our registration of interest form. We will keep you up to date as the scheme develops.

Helping households in need

Your Energy Sussex is committed to helping elderly, vulnerable and low-income residents to stay warm and healthy in their homes.

Through ECO funding provided by the Home Heating Carbon Reduction Obligation (HHCRO), we are working with local installer, C Mitten, to provide a boiler replacement and insulation service to qualifying households on certain income-related benefits. This is a time-limited offer.

If you think that you or someone you know may qualify, download the eligibility criteria. The offer is open to homeowners and tenants in privately rented accommodation.

Further information is available through the C Mitten website under Your Energy Sussex or you can call them to discuss eligibility on 0800 5999089.

If you are finding it hard to pay your energy bills or stay warm, the West Sussex Affordable Energy website is a good place to look for advice, including information about other grants or payments you may be entitled to.
