All the libraries in West Sussex offer a free information and enquiry service. You can access the latest resources through printed material, the electronic library and the internet.
Art
Access to online art sources via the electronic library including Oxford Art online, the John Johnson collection and Oxford Reference Shelf.
Business and Infotrace
All our libraries provide access to a variety of business resources, newspapers and magazines. Many are available online via The Electronic Library.

Electronic Library
A selection of useful electronic subscription resources available via the Internet. These have been paid for by West Sussex Library Service for you to use for free! These services are available on People's Network computers in the specified libraries.
Encyclopaedias and dictionaries
Access to online encyclopaedias and dictionaries via the electronic library including Britannica, Oxford English Dictionary and World Book.
Local studies
The Local Studies Service has a comprehensive collection of original printed sources from the 17th century to the present day. Several online services and databases have also been developed to help you with your research.
Maps for planning applications
We can provide printed copies of maps for planning applications.
Music
Access to online music sources via the electronic library, including Oxford Music Online, Oxford Reference Shelf and SearchMuze.
Newspapers and magazines
The Library Service provides a variety of printed and electronic newspapers and magazines. A current daily national and local weekly newspaper is available in all libraries. A wider range of current newspapers and magazines, including some back issues are available in the main libraries.
People
Access to online biographical sources via the electronic library including Ancestry, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and World Who's Who.
Reference stock
Information about reference stock around the County, community information including local clubs, societies and organisations.
