Room hire

We have a variety of rooms available across West Sussex.

1 Overview

We have a range of rooms available for hire at some of our fire stations.

Our offer aims to support:

  • community groups
  • voluntary organisations
  • statutory partners
  • local and wider businesses.

Room provision includes large HDMI screen, access to public or business Wi-Fi, tables and chairs according to capacity and set up of room.

We kindly ask that when finishing, all tables and chairs are returned to their position, rubbish is placed within bins and areas are wiped accordingly.

2 Platinum House, Horsham Training Centre

Platinum House, named in honour of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, was officially opened in December 2023. The venue incorporates a state-of-the-art training facility along with a wide range of training and event facilities.

The venue offers fire service training courses plus business training events and seminars. It offers room hire of varying capacity, for example, up to 60 seated by opening a modern soundproofed wall between specific rooms.

Rooms have single and, in some rooms, dual HDMI screens offer public and business Wi-Fi as well as catering and refreshments.

The venue is at the heart of West Sussex on the A24, close to Gatwick Airport and nearby popular town, Horsham. Platinum House really does offer many location-based benefits.

We have a number of rooms available for hire.

4 Terms

The primary purpose of fire station meeting rooms aims to:

  • provide a community space for individuals, community groups or local organisations
  • encourage civic engagement
  • promote lifelong learning.

Out of hours room hire can be arranged, although it will require a staff member on site, therefore an additional fee may apply.

In principle our rooms can be hired, however we do reserve the right to refuse the option should we feel there is impact to the reputation of the fire service.
