Apprenticeships

Search and apply for apprenticeship opportunities in West Sussex.

An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme where you are in a paid job while learning a trade or profession. There are over 500 types of apprenticeships. Anyone over the age of 15 who has completed their statutory secondary education can apply.

Apprenticeships bring many benefits, including:

  • earning a salary
  • getting paid holidays
  • receiving training
  • gaining qualifications
  • learning job-specific skills
  • better employment and salary prospects.

You can apply if you hold a degree, as long as the apprenticeship is at a higher level or in a  different subject to your degree.

If you have a learning disability, you may be eligible to study English or Maths functional skills to Entry Level 3, which is lower than the level required. Ask your training provider about this.
