Pothole - Example 1

Report medium sized potholes.

We repair potholes that are:

  • 40-99mm deep (as deep as a tennis ball) and 150mm wide (as wide as a dinner plate) within 28 working days
  • 100mm deep (as deep as a coke can) or greater and 150mm wide (as wide as a dinner plate) within 5 working days.

You should report the pothole for repair if it is between these sizes.

You will need to provide as much detail as you can about the size of the pothole:

  • width and depth
  • exact location - for example road name, nearby house number, landmark or junction
  • position in the carriageway - near the side of the road or in the centre.

These details will help us respond to your report quicker.
