The role of women in the World War One war efforts in West Sussex will be examined at Worthing Library next month.

‘Great War West Sussex 1914-1918: Women at War’ is the subject of the next event in the popular lunchtime talk series and is free to attend.

West Sussex Libraries Librarian Justin Burns will talk about how changes in family life were influenced by the war and how new voluntary and employment opportunities emerged for women.

The talk will be held on Tuesday 3 February 2015 at Worthing Library, Richmond Road, Worthing, BN11 1HD. It will start at 12.10pm.

The monthly lunchtime talks are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 12.10pm to 12.50pm. There’s no need to book, just drop in on the day.
