Results for the West Sussex County Council election are now in from five of the seven district and borough areas within the county, with the Conservatives having held control of the council.
The current breakdown of seats at the end of play today (Friday 7 May) for West Sussex County Councillors is as follows:
Conservative: 39 seats
Liberal Democrat: 10 seats
Labour: 4 seats
Green Party: 1 seat
Independent: 1 seat
Local Alliance: 1 seat
The count will continue on Saturday 8 May in Adur & Worthing, where 14 seats remain undeclared.
At the close of that count, all the results will be in for the 70 county council seats.
