The annual Budget council meeting for West Sussex County Council takes place next week.

The main business for debate by all councillors is the Council’s budget, capital strategy and treasury management strategy, including setting the level of Council Tax for the year ahead.

The full council meeting will be held from 10.30am at County Hall, Chichester. The meeting is also being webcast live via the county council website where you can read the full agenda.

The budget process sits alongside Our Council Plan to shape how we deliver our service priorities and overall ambitions for the County. More information about the Council Budget is on our website.

Councillors will also receive the annual pay policy statement for approval and will look at minor changes to Rights of Way procedures and to Council Standing Orders.

If time allows councillors will also ask questions of the Council’s leader and cabinet on matters of interest across the county.

The meeting can be watched live via the County Council public i.tv portal. There will be a reduced capacity public gallery available to anyone wishing to attend and view the meeting in person. Admission is by ticket only, bookable in advance by emailing: democratic.services@westsussex.gov.uk
