Transport Plan to be discussed at April County Council meeting

The meeting will be held from 10.30am on Friday, 1 April 2022 at County Hall, Chichester

West Sussex County Council’s annual council meeting takes place next week.

The main item for discussion by all councillors is the draft West Sussex Transport Plan. The plan is the council’s main policy document for planning its road and transport network and infrastructure up to 2036. It includes strategies for responding to new development, the impact of climate change and addressing the transport needs of people and businesses across the county into the future. After the discussion councillors will be asked to approve the document as the final West Sussex Transport Plan.

Other items on the agenda include:

• A motion on local Growth Deals to take account of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on economic growth within the county

• A motion on pensions divestment

• Question time for councillors to ask questions of the Council Leader and Cabinet

The meeting, which starts at 10.30am on Friday, 1 April 2022 can be watched live via the County Council public i.tv portal. There will be a limited-capacity public gallery available to anyone wishing to attend and view the meeting in person.
