More than 30 organisations will be showcasing the latest health and social care technology at a free event next month.
Among them will be technology giant Microsoft.
The drop-in event takes place on Wednesday 8 June from 10am to 3pm at The Charmandean, Forest Road, Worthing, BN14 9HS. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Peter Catchpole, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Later Life said: “I strongly encourage anyone considering technology for health and social care needs to come along to this event and find out more.
“Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) is an innovative and crucial development in the way our loved ones are cared for.”
At the event, technology organisations will be offering tasters and demonstrations of services and devices, explaining how they can help those at risk to live independently in their own home for longer.
People will have the opportunity to explore the latest range of sensors and equipment, with talks provided on the variety of local support available.
Mr Catchpole added: “West Sussex County Council is hosting the event with UKTelehealthcare and the Telecare Services Association. The future for Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) is exciting and will transform the way we live our lives.”
