Bob Lanzer, Cabinet Member for Highways and Infrastructure, said; “We understand the importance of these bus services for local residents, especially those living in small rural villages – to get to work, shopping, schools and colleges. Our decision to continue to support these services is the result of both a public consultation and liaising with stakeholders.
“We will continue to work with the local communities in reviewing the arrangements put in place over the coming months.”
There will be some minor changes to the 54 timetable, particularly the first and last journeys of the day, which will be reduced to run between South Harting and Chichester only. Residents will still be able to travel in the morning by catching the 91 between Petersfield and South Harting and changing to the 54 for their onward journey.
Service 91, 92 and 93 timetable will continue to a largely unchanged timetable.
This replaces the arrangement with the Emsworth and District Bus Company.
