Release date: 20 April 2017
A new reading group is being launched at Bognor Regis and research reveals that they can be good for your health!
The new group will meet on the second Monday of every month at 5.45pm, with the first meeting taking place on Monday 8 May 2017.
Research undertaken by The Reading Agency has shown that ‘reading for pleasure can result in increased empathy, improved relationships with others, reductions in the symptoms of depression and dementia, and improved wellbeing’.
But what happens when a group forms to read and discuss books? Many people find that joining a reading group can help them feel less isolated, meet like-minded people and give them the opportunity to share their opinions and feelings.
For more information, or to join the group, please contact Bognor Regis Library via the contact details below.
