Experiences of using local radiotherapy services are on the agenda at a select committee meeting on Friday 7 July.
West Sussex Health and Adult Social Care Select Committee (HASC) will hear the views of a local resident about services.
The committee will also hear from NHS England South (South East) about the current provision in West Sussex and the next steps in providing radiotherapy services in the county.
HASC is being asked to consider whether adequate provision is in place for West Sussex residents receiving radiotherapy services.
The meeting is at 11.30am at County Hall in Chichester.
Also on the agenda is funding for the improved Better Care Fund, which was announced as part of the Spring Budget in March 2017.
The Committee is asked to comment on the progress to date and to ask that the final allocation of the fund is the subject of further scrutiny at a future meeting.
HASC has 20 members, made up of 12 county councillors, seven district and borough councillors and one local Healthwatch member (non-voting).
Chairman of the Committee Bryan Turner said: “I am really pleased we are going to hear from a local resident about their views on radiotherapy services. This will help inform the committee’s discussions as we scrutinise the radiotherapy service to make sure that people in West Sussex are getting the best service.”
