Littlehampton and Worthing Libraries are staging a murder mystery evening next month in celebration of renowned crime author Anne Cleeves’ latest tale.

'Bannocks & Blood: A Shetland Murder’ will first be held at Littlehampton Library on Tuesday 6 June at 7pm, with a second event at Worthing on Tuesday 13 June at 7pm.

On arrival, visitors must digest the details of victim Minnie Laurenson’s gruesome death before hearing the four suspects’ versions of events.

During the interval they will then have the chance to interview the suspects over a glass of wine and decide for themselves who committed the murder.

After all rounds of interviews have taken place, the guilty murderer will come clean and confess their crime in front of the live audience.

Titled ‘Vera and Shetland fame’, Anne’s recent instalment in the Scottish crime series follows detective Jimmy Perez’s pursuit in the fallout of a traditional Shetland Sunday Tea.

Both role-play events have been organised in recognition of Anne’s 30th book published in as many years during her career.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 and can be bought by contacting Littlehampton Library (01903 716450) in Maltravers Road or Worthing Library (01903 704809) in Richmond Road.
