West Sussex Trading Standards’ ‘Trade Simple’ courses cover a variety of topics to help businesses treat their customers fairly

It’s National Customer Service Week and Trading Standards are keen to support the vital role customer service plays in successful business practice and growth in the West Sussex economy.

Jargon-free, online courses are available for business owners who want to enhance their fair trading reputation, who might be unsure of the law or are looking to build on the trust they enjoy with their customers.

West Sussex Trading Standards’ ‘Trade Simple’ courses cover a variety of topics to help businesses treat their customers fairly. They include:

• Consumer contracts - distance sales for businesses trading online
• Consumer contracts - off-premises sales for business and trades which work in customers’ homes
• Consumer Rights Act 2015: ‘Satisfactory quality, repair or refund? The law.’
• ‘Alternative dispute resolution’ - the alternative to court
