Chichester Library welcomes West Sussex author Juliet West for an event and book signing on Thursday 19 October at 7.30pm as part of West Sussex Library Service’s ‘Talk about reading’ celebration taking place across all libraries throughout October.
Hear about Juliet’s new novel The Faithful - a gripping love story which follows the lives of two very different families in the years running up to the Second World War. Set in Sussex and London, the book explores the turbulent 1930s, revealing how women were recruited to the Blackshirt movement.
Juliet West grew up in Worthing and studied history at Cambridge University. She trained as a newspaper reporter and went on to work for newspapers and magazines in Dorset, Hampshire and London. In 2009 Juliet took an MA in Creative Writing at Chichester University, where she graduated with distinction and won the Kate Betts’ Memorial Prize.
As well as a short talk and a reading, Juliet will answer any questions you may have about books, writing and getting published.
Tickets £5, available from Chichester Library, Tower Street, PO19 1QJ
