Get Stuck In for Geek Week at Chichester Library

Geek Week returns for its second year in libraries across the county.

Comics, space, science and much, much more - West Sussex ‘Geek Week’ is back with a big bang.

From Friday, October 28 to Saturday, November 5, Geek Week returns for its second year in libraries across the county - with events and activities celebrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), books and reading.

There is a wide variety of activities to get involved in, including:

Saturday, November 5 (10am-4pm) - Get Stuck in Day

Do exactly what it says on the tin and get stuck in. Join in with fun-filled days full of free workshops and drop-in events for people of all ages.

Thursday, November 3 - Popular Culture Quiz Open to teams of up to six, prove your pop culture knowledge! There are prizes on offer for the winners, and overall county champions.

The quiz starts at Chichester library from 7.30pm and at 7pm in Crawley, Horsham, Lancing and Worthing libraries.

Tickets cost £4 and are available from all libraries.

Tuesday, November 1 (10am-12pm) - On this day with… eInformation Have you ever wondered what else happened in the world on your birthday or on any other date in history? Come to a drop-in session run by an Information Librarian and look at electronic resources to find out.

Challenge – your choice… Dare to try something different with a reading challenge! Read a book set in the future, revisit a book you loved as a child, or delve into a graphic novel - or try one of the other nine challenge suggestions. These are listed on a bookmark and available to pick up from all West Sussex Libraries.
