Funding is available for West Crawley causes

Grants are available for good causes that will benefit the local community.

Community projects and charities in the West Crawley area are being urged not to miss out on funding.

The West Crawley County Local Committee has £16,500 left to allocate to projects which will benefit the local community.

Applications for the remaining funding need to be submitted by 2 February, with grants to be given at the next meeting, on 2 March.

At the previous meeting funding was awarded to three groups.

Broadfield and Bewbush Children’s Project received £1,500 towards sports, IT and craft equipment.

Bewbush Action Group received £1,182.98 for the purchase of a mower, tools and storage.

Southstar Radio received £848 for the purchase of decks and speakers for youth workshops.

County Local Committee meetings help local people shape the services provided by the County Council, including schools, libraries and the Fire and Rescue Service.
