The North Mid Sussex County Local Committee (CLC) which covers East Grinstead and the parishes of Ashurst Wood, Turners Hill, West Hoathly and Worth has more than £16,000 left to allocate from its Community Initiative Fund for the 2014/15 financial year.

Committee Chairman Christine Field said: “This year the Community Initiative Fund has enabled us to give grants to a wide range of projects which have made a difference to people in our area. This has included costs towards replacement lighting for East Grinstead Museum, start-up funding for a local Youth Club and the purchase of Christmas lights for Crawley Down Village”.

“I would encourage any individual or group in the North Mid Sussex area who need assistance with a project that will benefit the community to send us their application as soon as possible.”

“There are lots of local groups, charities and organisations that could benefit from these funds and we’d love to help more of you. This is the last meeting of the CLC this financial year and we very much want to make sure that the money goes to worthy causes”.

The deadline for applications to North Mid Sussex CLC’s Community Initiative Fund is Friday 20 February 2015.

Application forms and information on how to apply, as well as eligibility criteria, can be found on the Community Initiative Funding page.

Grant applications will be considered at the North Mid Sussex CLC meeting, which will be held at 7.00pm on Wednesday 18 March 2015 at Sackville School, Lewes Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 3TY.
