Community projects and charities in the East Crawley area are being urged not to miss out on funding.

The East Crawley County Local Committee has £14,000 left to allocate to projects which will benefit the local community.

Applications for the remaining funding need to be submitted by 16 February, with grants to be given at the next meeting, on 16 March.

At the previous meeting £2,889 was awarded to West Sussex Angling Academy for use in purchasing tools, timber and 12 fishing kits.

County Local Committee meetings help local people shape the services provided by the County Council, including schools, libraries and the Fire and Rescue Service.

For more information about funding and how to apply for it, search ‘Community Initiative Fund’ on www.westsussex.gov.uk.
