West Sussex County Council libraries are running eLibrary workshops to mark Get Online Week 2017.

The week is a national event which runs annually by the Good Things Foundation. This year their theme is to Try 1 Thing, encouraging people to try doing something online in a familiar environment.

Debbie Kennard, Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities, said: “These sessions are a great way to encourage our residents to make use of the fantastic resources available within our libraries as well as helping people become more online-savvy. I’m really looking forward to going along to one of the sessions to brush up on my own skills.

“With such a wide variety to choose from - free eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers and eMagazines there should be something for everyone.”

The eLibrary is compatible with a wide range of devices, including iPads, tablets, phones and laptops. Places are limited so please contact your local library to reserve your free place.

Information will also be available at these sessions about the importance of online safety.

Dates, times and locations can be found by visiting www.westsussex.gov.uk/libraryevents.
