Fire & Rescue Service Scrutiny Committee to meet in person

Release date: 17 June 2021

West Sussex County Council’s Fire & Rescue Service Scrutiny Committee will meet in person at County Hall in Chichester on Friday.

Members of the committee will elect a new chairman and vice chairman of the committee following the recent county council election in May. They will also receive updates on a number of key projects from the Chief Fire Officer, Sabrina Cohen-Hatton.

Items on the agenda include a letter from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services following a revisit to the service last year and progress reports on priority programmes of work within the service.

Find the full agenda for the meeting here.

The meeting will be broadcast live on the county council’s website here from 11.30am on Friday.

The public gallery at County Hall will be open for members of the public wishing to attend the meetings in person, but with a much reduced capacity to allow for social distancing and Covid-19 rules. Admission to meetings is by ticket only, bookable in advance by email. Details of Covid-19 safety measures in place at County Hall will be provided to anyone booking to attend in person.
