More foster carers are needed in West Sussex.

That’s the message from West Sussex County Council’s (WSCC) fostering team as they look to encourage more people to come forward.

To help people find out more, a series of information events are being held at churches across West Sussex.

The first of these will take place at Grace Church, Terminus Road, Chichester on Wednesday 4 February, 7.30pm to 9pm, where speakers from the fostering recruitment team will be sharing information on what being a foster carer entails.
These sessions will provide more information on what foster caring is, and how people can get involved - whatever their faith, ethnicity or marital status.

Further events will be held at:

Crawley Baptist Church on Thursday 12 February;
The Elim Centre in Worthing on Tuesday 10 March; and
St John’s Church in Broadbridge Heath on Thursday 12 March.

They will all take place between 7.30pm to 9pm, and everyone is welcome to attend.

If you would like more information on these events, or are part of a faith or community group who would welcome a presentation on foster caring, please call 0330 222 7775.
