If you’re looking for inspiration this half-term for places to visit and things to do with the family, why not pay a visit to the ‘Experience West Sussex’ website.
The website (www.experiencewestsussex.com) has grouped great days out and activities into four different themes. There are ideas for all the family, no matter what your interests are: ‘active days’, ‘new experiences’, ‘back to nature family outings’ and ‘cultural encounters’.
West Sussex County Council Leader, Louise Goldsmith, said: “We’re so very lucky to live in West Sussex, it’s a beautiful county with countryside, coast, towns, villages and much more. It means there’s lots to do on our doorstep when it comes to family activities for the school holidays.
“The Experience West Sussex website has ideas for fun days out, suggestions of places to go for refreshments and a range of itineraries based around the four themes. Why not check it out and get inspiration for family friendly half-term activities?”
The website also has cycling and walking routes across the county that can be downloaded together with the experiences of people who’ve used them, and ideas of events coming up across West Sussex.
This marks the third successful year of the Beautiful Outdoors campaign. Last year’s campaign was shown to bring in more than £1 million into the West Sussex economy, with more than 100 businesses featured, and it’s hoped these figures will continue to grow this year.
The campaign is being led by West Sussex County Council, working with partners including Coastal West Sussex Partnership.
