Edes House has won the Customer Service Award at The Chichester Observer & Gazette Business Awards that took place last Friday evening.

The venue, at County Hall, Chichester, was shortlisted against ten other finalists and faced stiff competition from the likes of Goodwood Health Club among others.

The award was presented by Nick Wallis from the BBC’s The One Show who commented how amazing it was that Edes House had achieved excellence in Customer Service when the team rely mainly on casual staff to host events.

Kim Wright, Edes House Events Manager, said: “We were a clear winner with no runner-up or judges commendations which made it mean even more! It was so lovely to see so many local businesses come and congratulate us with a few even standing when it was announced.

“Since then the compliments via Facebook and texts etc from previous and current couples and clients have been overwhelming!”

Rachel North, Director of Communities, commented: “This win is testament to the entrepreneurial approach of the staff at Edes House. The motivational leadership, excellent customer service and commercial thinking is an example to the whole organisation.”
