Durrington road closure in Monday rush-hour following blaze

Titnore Lane currently closed from its junction with the A280 in the north, to its junction with Titnore Way in the south

People are being urged to avoid Titnore Lane, Durrington, if possible after firefighters tackled a blaze involving a range of business units there, with gas cylinders present, on Sunday night (February 25).

The road is currently closed from its junction with the A280 in the north, to its junction with Titnore Way in the south. The closure is likely to last until at least Monday evening (February 26).

Fire engines from Worthing and Littlehampton fire stations were sent to the scene, together with water carriers from Petworth and Burgess Hill and the command unit from Haywards Heath.

There were no reports of any injuries in the blaze.
