Draft School Effectiveness Strategy consultation

The consultation will run until 15 June 2018.

Release date: 23 May 2018

People are being asked for their views on the county council’s draft School Effectiveness Strategy for 2018 – 2022.

The aim of the new West Sussex Strategy is to create a model of education that is strong and sustainable for all phases of learning and for all types of school.

The work of West Sussex County Council Education and Skills Directorate will provide the balance of support and challenge to achieve this by focusing on the things that make the biggest difference to educational outcomes and ensure that all our West Sussex children and young people really do get the best start in life.

Richard Burrett, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “We’re keen to hear the views of anyone who has an interest in education provision across West Sussex which will help inform our final School Effectiveness Strategy from 2018 to 2022.”

The consultation will run until 15 June 2018 and can be accessed here: www.westsussex.gov.uk/schooleffectiveness2018.
