Draft dementia strategy to be discussed by Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee

Release date: 9 March 2020

A draft dementia strategy for West Sussex will be discussed by members of the council’s Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee (HASC), at an upcoming meeting.

The West Sussex Joint Dementia Strategy 2020 to 2030 has been developed by West Sussex County Council and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, along with people living with dementia and key organisations in the county.

The strategy outlines how to improve the experience of people living with dementia in the county.

The committee will meet on Wednesday, 11 March at County Hall, Chichester from 10.30am.

Committee members will also review a report by the Director of Public Health that outlines current activity which addresses self-harm in the county. This will also cover the updated West Sussex Suicide Prevention Strategy 2017-20, which incorporates recommendations made by HASC and the West Sussex Suicide Prevention Steering Group.

The meeting will be available to view live on the internet through the West Sussex County Council website.

Visit the Council's website to read the full agenda and associated reports.
