Chichester Library is joining forces with the Alzheimer’s Society to host a Dementia Awareness Day on Monday 6 June, featuring many local services all in one place.

Representatives of the Alzheimer’s Society will be on hand to talk about dementia and the help that is available both locally and nationally for family, friends and those with dementia.

Coastal West Sussex MIND and Carers Support West Sussex will also be there with information about all the groups and activities that are available locally and what support they can offer.

The Library has a range of products and services available to support people with dementia, such as a memory management card to make it easier for people with memory loss to continue to visit their local library.

Other groups who will be at the Library include Dementia Support at Tangmere, Chichester and Bognor Dementia Action Alliance and Crossroads Care.

Visit Chichester Library in Tower Street, PO19 1QJ between 10am-2pm on Monday 6  June to speak to all these groups in one place.

For further information call Alzheimer’s Society Sussex Helpline on 01403 213017.
