Community protection through the winter is on the agenda at an upcoming ‘Get Ready for Winter’ event.

Community groups are invited to the Sussex Resilience Forum event at The Brighthelm Centre (North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD) on Monday 14 November, between 9.30am and 1pm.

The event is for community groups, the voluntary sector and responding agencies to share how best to prepare for the upcoming months.

This will include information on what to do in the event of severe weather, how to help protect vulnerable neighbours and how to ensure the health and wellbeing of communities.

West Sussex County Council’s Resilience and Emergencies team will be attending to give advice on how best to support your community through the winter months through the What If? Community Resilience programme.

To register your community group at the event email kevin.claxton@nhs.net
