Help celebrate the great work of volunteers in West Sussex during National Volunteers’ Week.

Running from 1 to 12 June, events are being held at Children and Family Centres to say thank you to their parent volunteers.

Upcoming free events:

• Bognor Regis: Parents are invited to enjoy the great outdoors with their children and chat to other volunteers. ‘Picnic in the Park’ will run on Wednesday 1 June from 11.30am to 1.30pm in Hotham Park – by the bandstand.

• Littlehampton: Being organised by two parent volunteers, ‘It’s all about you’ will give people the opportunity to find out more about improving their physical and emotional wellbeing. The event is being held on Thursday 9 June from 12.30pm to 2.30pm at the Littlehampton Children and Family Centre – The Wickbourne Centre.

The Parent Volunteer Programme (PVP) runs throughout the Children and Family Centres in West Sussex.

The programme is available throughout the year and offers parents, with children under the age of 11, a range of volunteering placements. Volunteer opportunities are offered within the centres and the local community.
