Celebrate Wellbeing Month in libraries this March

Take a look at how books, reading and your local library can help you stay healthy and well during Wellbeing Month in libraries this March.

There is something for everyone with at least 60 events happening in libraries throughout the county.

Activities include:

  • laughter workshops
  • stress reduction sessions
  • wellbeing MOTs
  • dance demonstrations
  • guided walks
  • and much more!

There is also a special Wellbeing Day at Crawley Library for carers and people who receive care.

Drop in to Horsham Library on Saturday 25 March 2-4pm for an afternoon of Family Wellbeing Fun and games for all ages to support mental and physical wellbeing.

All libraries will have displays of books recommended by library staff to lift your mood and help you feel better.

Libraries will also be highlighting other books that can help your wellbeing such as those on exercise, diet and promoting good health.

The eLibrary at www.westsussex.gov.uk/libraries/elibrary also has a wide variety or eBooks and eMagazines to borrow.

Libraries can also give information or point people in the right direction to find more specialised support.

Libraries can also help people find a new hobby or interest through its clubs and societies database at www.westsussex.gov.uk/find-my-nearest/local-club-or-society.
