A new video offering Forces parents more detail on steps to take to secure a school place for their child is live

‘A Guide to School Admissions for Service Children in England’ is a new video offering Forces parents more detail on the steps to take to secure a school place for their child.

The video, funded by Forces Connect South East and produced by Hampshire County Council, includes information on:

  • the admissions process
  • deadline dates
  • in-year admissions / mid-year transfers
  • the appeals process

West Sussex County Council is part of the Forces Connect South East cross-border partnership comprising: Surrey, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Hampshire county councils; Brighton and Hove and Medway councils; and the NHS.

Many serving members live and work in West Sussex and there is an armed forces base at Thorney Island while reservists are based in Crawley.
