Fans of crime and drama are being invited to a gruesome talk on British murder from Sweeney Todd to Jack the Ripper.

Seasoned speaker Doug Eaton will be heading to Littlehampton Library on Wednesday 9th November at 2.30pm.

His talk will explore the British obsession with crime and Victorian melodramas.

Doug’s career spanned music and marketing before his current interest in murder as he first became well-known on the music scene of the 1960s playing alongside The Beatles with his rock group - The Detonators.

In his talk ‘WHODUNNIT? 200 Years of Murder’, Doug will also explore how the First World War transformed crime fiction and the introduction of the 'thriller'.

Tickets are £4 each and available from the Littlehampton Library, in Maltravers Road.
