With over 20 years experience of working within Education/education law and mental health services, my expertise is Emotionally Based School Absence (EBSA). I can support families and young people in order to help them with understanding, regulation tips and support with schools and reintegration. I am happy to advocate for families and young people and can offer sensory profiling for unmet needs, and provide advice. Offer Training to educational establishments around EBSA, safeguarding and mental health
What we do
- EBSA consultation Helping you and your family to understand what your child may be experiencing and provide a listening ear. Many Families experience this but always feel very alone in this experience, I am here to assist you with the knowledge I have gained over the past 20 years and to support you through this process.
- Sensory Profiling A lot of young people are not able to attend school due to unmet needs. By doing a sensory profile this will help with ways to support anxiety and will give the school ideas on how to support the young person whilst in school.
- Advocacy I am able to attend school meetings and advocate on behalf or yourself and your young person. I am aware of education law and have worked in many schools over the past 20 years so can provide support for you and inform you what can be offered to your child inside school and outside.
- Training Am able to offer training to schools around neurodiversity, safeguarding and EBSA
- £350 consultation (which includes a sensory profile) Other options are available to add on: Meeting at school £150 Extra home visits £neg depending on need.

Our users say
Sharyn supported our family during a very difficult time at the end of last year when our child was unable to attend school at all due to anxiety and unmet SEND needs. It was immensely beneficial to have Sharyn’s knowledge and empathic support to help guide us in what to do, & support us in communications with the school. She always responded promptly to any queries, whether by phone call, text or email and really helped us to recognise and understand how to navigate a very challenging situation to try to achieve the best outcomes for our child. I highly recommend her services to any other families who are in a similar position. Mrs L
