An introductory micro:bit workshop for families

Event information

At this family event you will learn what a micro:bit is, what you can do with it and how to do some basic block-based coding, with the opportunity to borrow a micro:bit starter kit from the library at the end of the workshop.

Basic computer skills required.

One ticket per child age 7-10 years and their parent/carer. Parents/carers must remain with children for the duration of the workshop.

The Very Hungry Code-a-Pillar Storytime

Event information

Join us at the library for an interactive journey through children’s classic story The Very Hungry Caterpillar, using our fun Code-a-Pillar learning toys. Children will be introduced to the basic ideas behind programming in a fun and friendly environment.

Parents/carers are asked to remain on the premises during this activity.
