Read eNewspapers

Read digital versions of newspapers for free.

The eNewspaper service, PressReader, provides over 7,000 UK and international digital newspapers and magazines for free. Publications are from over 100 countries and in 60 languages.

Articles can be translated into 18 languages and you can listen to today’s news by using the audio narration function.

There are many ways of accessing this service, in the library with our Wi-Fi, on our library computers, on your smartphone or tablet with either your browser or the PressReader App at home or anywhere!

Once signed in with your library card, you will have three free full days usage of the service. After three days simply sign out and sign back in again with your card.

In order to read eNewspapers:

  • select 'Sign in' on the PressReader website or in the app (which can be obtained free from your App Store)
  • select the yellow library card icon, enter West Sussex in the search box to select your library authority
  • enter your library card number.

A pop up confirms you can now read newspapers online or download them to read offline free of charge for three days on your device.

At the end of the three days, simply sign out and back in again with your library card number to reactivate your complimentary access for a further three days. Reactivate as many times as you wish!
